24'' Built-In Dishwasher

This dishwasher has an artificially limited useful life, so that it becomes obsolete (i.e., no longer functional and beyond repair) after a certain period of time. I bought this dishwasher 9 years ago in Costco, lower door seal started leaking on Christmas Eve 2019. Apparently, newer designs of Frigidaire dishwashers have no replacement part that would fix the leaking lower door seal! According to the customer service, I've got no other choice but to throw away otherwise good, fully operational dishwasher with stainless steel tub, and buy a new one. As an alternative option, I could buy a new stainless door panel with lower door gasket integrated, but for half of the price of a new dishwasher. How is it possible that the main competitor of Frigidaire on US and Canadian markets (inside-by-side comparisons, the competitor has nearly identical dishwashers against Frigidaire models in Costco, Home Depot, etc... ) has replaceable lower door seal (gasket) on all models for $40 or less? Does the engineering department of the competitor have some technical know-how about customers that Frigidaire knew but forgot? The competitor has much higher consumer rating than Frigidaire and 4000+ 5-star ratings. 9 years ago, when I purchased this dishwasher, Frigidaire had those top ratings and your competitor was No. 3.

Have had for 2 mos. Loading is peculiar; uprights are a bit too close together. Silverware basket openings are much too large and would be more convenient if at front of machine. Seems to clean very well and is very quiet. Stem glass holders are nice.

OH IT'S SO QUIET YOU DONT EVEN KNOW IT'S ONIVE MADE THE MISTAKE OF WASHING DISHES TWICE BECAUSE THE MACHINE IS SOOO QUIET.

Washes ver well and is quiet while it does it. Very nice design and functionality.

I bought a new home and the appliances were included. I typically do not use dishwashers but it is always good to have one for big parties or entertaining family. I have ran it once and it is very efficient. However, the light always shows Lo as if the dishwasher is always running.
