Board failed

Bought this for the cabin had it for two years it died put a new board in it lasted just over the warranty and board died again don’t want to put another board in unless they’ve change the design of the board how would I find that out or am I better off just scrapping and buying something from general electric

I've had this a few weeks and so far, so good. I bought it because I wanted something smaller and more energy efficient. The door shelves are a little too big in the fridge and a little too small in the freezer, but overall I'm happy.

Freezer control knob broke off

I had this refrigerator for a month. The freezer was frosting up, so I tried to turn the control knob and it broke off. I see this has happened to others. The knob attaches to a plastic stem that is brittle when it freezes (and since this is the freezer compartment, it is always brittle). Terrible design. Souhld be a metal stem. . The warranty repair service was fantastic! They had to replace the entire assembly, since there was nothing for a new knob to attach to.It is now back up and running. But I wouldn't try to adjust the freezer unless you completely defrost it first.

Disappointed - freezer control button broke off

I was cleaning this fridge for a friend who is on holidays. I tried to turn the freezer control button to the left, toward the OFF position. The button broke off!!I contacted the toll free number and they said the button costs $32.60 Canadian funds! I am sure the button is only worth 25 cents wholesale, retail price should be around $3.00 Canadian -- not $30 +55. I was appalled. I ordered the part anyway because I want my friend's fridge to work when he comes home on Sept 20, 2018. I do not know how to remove a piece of the stem still stuck in the hole where the freezer control button goes. It has become a big headache... The fridge overall is nice enough but very disappointed in the quality of the parts used to build it.
